Description

The Dairy Industry Association of Australia (DIAA) is a professional association representing individuals working in the dairy product manufacturing industry as well as suppliers to the dairy manufacturing sector. The DIAA promotes excellence in the Australian dairy industry by providing a forum for communication, continuing education, professional growth, recognition and fellowship for all members, sectors and participant organisations involved with the dairy manufacturing industry.

The newly created Communication Officer forms part of a small, highly experienced national office team as well as liaising with Branch Committees and other entities within the DIAA, to ensure the delivery of activities and services to members across Australia. This is an exciting, hands-on role, offered on a part time contractor basis with variable and flexible hours.

You will be an experienced and inclusive communicator who has demonstrated success in driving sustainable organisational and cultural transformation to achieve positive change. Your communication skills will have created measurable influence and increased organisational capacity.

This can be a hybrid role, where you can work from either home, or the office based in Werribee. The DIAA is not politically based, and does not make any recommendations nor lobbying to any political party. The role involves communicating with our membership base, and undertaking Branch and national-based activities that contribute to enabling impactful communication in the digital age.

Critical to success will be your capacity to build collaborative and productive working relationships across the Association, providing day-to-day support to the operational teams and officeholders.

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Strong collaboration and networking skills

What we offer?

This is an opportunity to work with an extremely motivated Board, and like-minded contractors at the Dairy Industry Association of Australia (DIAA). With the upcoming retirement of personnel, the opportunity provides us to recreate this role with the assistance of current contractors.
