The role

We are currently looking for a dynamic, hard-working and passionate Events Manager to work with a team to execute all in-person and digital events. You will have excellent events management experience, superb project management skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders. You will be working on both domestic and global events across different mediums and jurisdictions. You will have an interest in corporate conferences and financial services, thrive in a fast-paced environment and love to achieve results.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • Planning and management of a schedule of 20+ events per annum
  • Financial management of budget and expenditure for all events
  • Management of a small team
  • Oversight and management of all event suppliers
  • Development of event project plans and critical pathways
  • Oversight of event risk management issues
  • Digital production development and execution
  • Management of event AV requirements & digital AV solutions
  • Floorplan and seating allocation oversight
  • Delegate and speaker liaison
  • Show management for in-person and digital event production


  • A minimum of 5 years conference and events experience (work within the financial services sector is desirable)
  • Experience in running >10 conferences and events per annum
  • Experience in the end-to-end management of international conferences
  • Experience in production of digital events
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to effectively budget and manage return on investment
  • Exceptional project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Outstanding stakeholder management across a diverse, multiple stakeholder base
  • Problem solving skills within time sensitive situations
  • Effective negotiation skills across multiple stakeholder base
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across a diverse group of people
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of delegate experience
  • Known for engaging, positive energy, determined and positive character
  • Experience in managing people
  • Experience with data analysis across delegates and sponsors
  • A willingness to be hands on

  • Google Analytics 
  • MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Salesforce
  • WordPress
  • Campaign Monitor
  • DataStudio

Conexus Financial has a stunning Sydney CBD office, but also offer flexible working from home options. We have a healthy, catered lunch each week to maintain company culture. You are not required to have an at-home set-up, appropriate technology will be provided.
